Are you Covid-19th’d to death yet? The news media has profited profoundly by spreading fear, hopelessness, doubt, and negativity. Through it all, I am at peace, I am not stressed, I am not afraid of becoming infected or sick, I have never lost so much as a wink of sleep because of this overly politicized and scripted pandemic.
Is this virus real? Absolutely! Am I laughing at this virus? Absolutely not! Does it spread and kill? We know it does! Should it be ignored? No way! But we do not need to be afraid and live in fear. It’s time to break free of the news media’s fear mongering. They don’t own us so why are we allowing them to lead us into negativity. We have another option. Shut off the television, tune out the dooms day parade and look up.
Exchange fear for faith. The world has fed us lies, conspiracy, fear, confusion, anxiety, and doubt. Do you honestly believe in your heart everything that you have been told by the media? Well, golly gee it seems to me there is nothing left to live for. Thank God, that I have Him in my life because with God, I have everything to live for and all the bunk on the television and in the papers is nothing more than a buzzing in the background.
God is perfect in every way. Psalm 18:30 (NIV) God does not lie. Titus 1:2 (NIV) God cannot break His promises. Hebrews 6:18-20 (MSG) He can take the negative and use it for good. Genesis 50:20 (NIV) God is truth. John 8:31-32 (MSG) Now, which would you rather follow? The world or the Word?
We can continue to place our faith and trust in, scripted, misguided and deceiving media gibberish and be corralled, panicked, and deceived or we can place our total faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we do, you’ll not be disappointed nor will you be shamed with anymore lies, propaganda, political nonsense and conspiracy theories. (Romans 10:11) For the scripture says, “Whoever believes in him, will not be disappointed.” (Isaiah 49:23) Those who “hopefully” wait for me will not be put to shame.
The day I gave my life to Jesus was the very day when I began to wake up. Since then my life has changed for the better. I invite you find peace in these additional promises of God and in every promise ask yourself if the world can promise you the same.
